Dr. Daniel Helgerman joined The Balancing Center in August, 2015 following his graduation of Life University in June, 2015.  Dr. Helgerman was immediately attracted to The Balancing Center because the office’s approach to chiropractic care fit seamlessly with his own philosophy of healing:

1) The human body is a self-organizing, self-developing, self-maintaining, and self-healing organism and its functions are orchestrated primarily through the nervous system.

2) The human body moves and operates from the principles of “tensegrity”, meaning the body’s structural integrity is dependent on balanced tension and compression throughout the body from head to toe.

3)  The mind and body of a human being are not isolated from one another.  They function together as the unified expression of “bodymind”.  Although it is often unrecognized, it is common for emotional traumas to stay with us in the form of fearful, self-limiting beliefs about ourselves, the world, and our future.   These emotions manifest in postural distortions evident in “body language”.   These traumas are just as important to address as car accidents, and slips and falls for deep healing to take place.

In his experience, upper cervical chiropractic care (NUCCA), is the most important correction a chiropractor can make to ensure the nervous system signal to and from the brain is its strongest and the body is structurally balanced.   In addition to utilizing upper cervical care, Dr. Helgerman uses gentle spinal and tonal adjustments as well as energetic synchronization to help address a multiplicity of emotional, recreational, and repetitive work related injuries.  Dr. Helgerman is a receptive listener and also offers individualized counseling on wellness through Functional Movement Practices and nutritional support.
